Congratulations for winning the September Homebyme Project of the month go to Archiconceptstore! Their home, VILLA TOIT PLAT, has a huge, friendly terrace with plenty of spots in the sun for you to relax and recharge. The interior is also filled with light, since the primary goal of the design is to provide a maximum of space and to make it all visible using lots of windows, sliders and interior sliding window doors. Areas like the garage and even the utility closet aren’t hidden away, but are visible from inside the house to expand the visual openness even further. An industrial feeling is intentionally brought to mind by the details.
Let’s check out the whirlpool hot tub and relax a little before heading inside. Notice the big tables with umbrellas for entertaining and the hammock for a nap in the breezes.
While we relax, let’s take a look at the layout of the house. You can see the wall between the inside and outside is almost exactly in the center of the space. There are big open spaces on either side. Let’s head into the master bedroom (yellow arrow) and get ready to take a tour.
An elegant four-poster with curtains fills the front of the room. The soothing color palette helps keep it restful. If we move down toward the window we’ll have a surprise.
There’s a cavernous dressing area on the other side of the wall ready to be filled with all of our clothes and shoes and accessories!
Through the sliding door you’ll find a warm and welcoming bathroom with everything you’ll need.
Now let’s head down the short hall. There’s a guest bathroom on the left, but let’s move on past the aquarium and the front door into the main room.
We can see two more sliding doors that connect us visually and physically with the garage. As promised, this is a truly open home.
The garage is ready for action and it’s a quick trip into the kitchen with the groceries or into the thick of the party if that’s the plan today.
The totally open great room leaves plenty of space for mingling, comfy seating and two huge sliders out to the terrace.
Looking back to where we’ve been, you can see both the whirlpool hot tub and a fireplace for when you need to warm up.
The kitchen has an interesting kink that follows the overall shape of the great room. It’s easy to find good food here!
A wall of windows allows easy visual access to the hallway behind the kitchen and keeps the open feeling going.
Here’s a little spot of heaven for the youngest, with plenty of room for sleepovers and active play. Did you notice the great kid’s entertainment equipment in the back yard? If I fit into them, I’ll be using those too!
A third bedroom has all that a young adult would need or it could easily be a guest suite.
The bathroom is gorgeous. What a great mix of colors, textures and materials.
From the bathroom we can step back onto the terrace and into the whirlpool hot tub to relax again, knowing what a great home this is and hoping we’ll be invited back.
Please remember that every project creator has the option to continue developing any of their projects. When you go to a linked project it may be different than at the time the images above were created. Creativity continues, regardless of the clock!
It’s your turn now!
