Maison d’hote by Sebestien.boutillier is the winner of the Homebyme September project of the month! Guests will find a wonderfully eclectic mix of styles, patterns and colors. Interesting and unexpected angles are all over the place. And having a coffee shop and what looks like a bakery within steps of home is a big bonus. You’ve got to have some fun looking around, smiling the whole time!
The walls are almost all glass, so it’s easy to see who’s there and what they’re up to. The light inside will be bright and just right to keep the energy level high!
After entering through the vestibule and hanging up your coat, all you have to do is pivot one way or the other to see all there is to see. It seems fitting to have the exercise machines in the same area as the kitchen and dining areas.
The living room looks comfortable, relaxing and it has easy access to the kitchen.
Bright colors and a boldly patterned rug keep the lively theme at top speed. You can see the coffee shop through the far windows and get a glimpse of the bakery to the left.
A treadmill right next to the kitchen is a good reminder to keep things balanced. The wild pattern on the floor mimics the boldness of the rug.
There’s a large amount of space ready to make whatever you feel like and an island with seating so everyone can enjoy the preparation.
Whoever becomes the chef du jour will be able to keep tabs on everything else that’s going on and easily let folks know when their masterpiece is ready.
Having an on premises coffee shop is fantastic. The morning rush has plenty of room and when the afternoon espressos are needed, it won’t take long to start sipping.
While you’re enjoying your beverage you can keep an eye on the guest house and not miss a thing. This set-up gives a whole new meaning to guest house!
Shake up your thinking and try something entirely new. Shock yourself with something great!
It’s your turn now!
