When it’s time to get away from the day-to-day world and enjoy some peace and quiet, this pair of cabins is a great place to go. They’re a little fancier than many cabins, but in my imagination they’re just right. The view through the gap is a natural invitation, so let’s go have a look!
We could have gone in the front door, but we know that the view is better out back on the decks.
The last glacier left some big boulders as it retreated and they make a natural place for the cabins to nestle into.
Looking at the cabins from this view shows how the boulders have been used with natural landscaping as a visual shield to provide two separate decks.
Let’s go inside and put our groceries away and start relaxing.
A bird’s eye view shows the overall layout including the bathroom and utility space in each cabin.
Both cabins have stout fireplaces for those cool nights and fall days. A small refrigerator at each end of the counter helps keep the kitchen simple and easy to work in.
The view is gorgeous and the space is small enough to cook and keep up on what’s going on too.
The comfy leather chairs can be turned to focus the view inside or outside. Counter dining for three is available and there’s a reading nook in the corner near the stove.
To put our other necessities away we just pop across the short space and go into the second cabin.
A more contemporary theme dominates these spaces. It’s easy to enjoy the view while winding down in one of the inviting chairs.
Kitchen cabinets are used as storage units – why not? They fit in nicely and keep the floor clear too. The giant wall mural gives a feeling of big spaces even when you’re not looking out over the beautiful fields.
The bathroom has everything that’s needed and you can see the shower beyond.
A wall of mirror helps give the shower some extra visual room and makes the space brighter too.
Now that we have everything put away, we can really settle in and decide what we want to do first. There are plenty of choices!
