Exceptional congratulations go to HCOSIO83 for creating the ALAMOS project! It’s big, gorgeous and ready for anything from a quiet evening to a giant holiday party! Three floors are filled with rich woods, bold stone and the ability to fulfill just about any expectations you might have. From elegant dining for eight to a space for a hot jam session under the stars – you’re covered. Let’s find out more.
The overall form is a big rectangular block that is hemmed in on three sides. To enter, you transition from a chaotic world outside through the garage and inside to your own private paradise. A bold wood ceiling accent draws your eye all the way to the wood-lined terrace at the other end and then brings it back in again to give you a great feeling of spaciousness.
To start things off, go on a 360° tour of the ground floor to get oriented! Just click and drag your left mouse button to move around or up and down. The mouse wheel (if you have one) works to zoom in and out.
Look right and you’ll find a spacious and boldly colored living room that plays off the deep warmth of the wood that seems to be everywhere. It’s easy to imagine how welcoming it will look when lighted in the evening.
Look left to find out where the action starts. The counter is stocked with hors d’oeuvres and also provides a casual dining space. Next are the formal dining area and finally another area for entertainment (shown in the first image of the post). The undulating line of plants on the terrace is just right to complement the strong geometry of the settings and furniture.
The entryway is on the left as we swivel to see the kitchen and dining areas.
Eight diners can be graciously served around the space-saving round table.
On this floor there’s always a long range view. Here we can see through the counter area, into the kitchen and through to the garage. The strong stone textures work nicely with the geometric wall pattern. Three wonderfully different lamps are a playful touch and give varying forms to the light they shed.
A fully kitted out kitchen can provide for an army if needed. That huge stove could keep up with quite a few hungry party-goers.
Even when you’re in the kitchen, you have a great view to keep track of everything that’s going on. I hope we get to sample those little cakes at the end of the tour!
When we go up one floor, we find smaller, more private settings. They may be smaller by a smidge, but they’re still gorgeous and carry the ground floor design cues with warm materials and use the ceiling as a major statement. This is the master bedroom with big windows behind us to brighten everything up.
The bath portion of the master suite is also filled with elegant materials and more delightful outside light. Design has been taken to the level of art.
A second bathroom helps further isolate the master suite from potential disturbances. More masterful blending of materials and textures make it another example of form and function thriving together.
Open to the main shared area of the floor and well-lighted by more windows, this cozy entertainment space is an inviting place to relax.
Everything is decorated with particular care and attention to detail in the second bedroom as well. The home’s signature design elements continue to be special even as they change slightly from room to room.
A third bedroom is also decked out in luscious materials, colors and accent accessories. What an incredible view too!
The top floor gives everyone a chance to get creative and raise a ruckus. Here the emphasis is on making your own music and enjoying the camaraderie of being a participant in the celebration.
Another beautiful bathroom is perfect for becoming more presentable after a particularly boisterous music session.
Or you can prep for using the hot tub outside in the clear air. Rooftop grilling can keep everyone happy without going all the way downstairs. A shaded pavilion provides even more places to relax and unwind.
This home has everything to celebrate the holidays any time of the year! It’s easy to see why it was chosen to be the Project of the month winner!
Please remember that every project creator has the option to continue developing any of their projects. When you go to a linked project it may be different than at the time the images above were created. Creativity continues, regardless of the clock!
Now it’s your turn!
