What’s harder than creating a huge mansion? Try fitting your life into 157 square feet / 15 square meters! Congratulations to Sophiateoh and her TINY 2 home for winning the June Homebyme project of the month! It’s amazing how well she has fit the pieces of this challenging puzzle together into a bright and cheerful series of spaces.

Starting with a tall space allows a feeling of spaciousness and enough height for a sleeping and entertainment loft. Using darker colors in the central kitchen helps keep them visually smaller within the larger white volume.
Simple and effective decorations at multiple heights keep things interesting.
The loft has room for a small reading area with its own window. It’s just the right place to read about faraway places.
And, of course, a low bed and generously-sized TV fit nicely too.
Vertical paneling, a large mirror and the large windows on the left contribute to the feeling of space.
The warmth of woods and lively colors are used to give a comfortable, coziness to the main living spaces.
A glass table uses very little visual space and makes the windows and mirrors seem even bigger.
Cooking and dining are done in a good-sized area dominated by the large windows.
The entryway contains a small amount of storage and has room for laundry too.
A compact set up in the bathroom makes the most of the space available, especially the pedestal sink, which leaves more room for the other necessities.
We can learn a lot about the minimal amount of space needed to enjoy a full range of activities. Great job Sophia!
