Best of the best 2016!

Each month throughout the year we celebrate a Project of the month winner. It is an amazing accomplishment for each winner. Now it is time to gather all of the 2016 winners together in one great big congratulatory bash! There are ten this year because we made a huge transition from one version of Homebyme to another, so we don’t have May or June winners. Homebyme would like to thank each of the winners and all of you for sharing your fantastic imaginations with us throughout 2016. So come on in and check out the best of 2016!

Happy holidays and a great start to the New Year!

December project of the month winner

Salamanca-22-c, created by Reformasareacentro, is the winner of the the Homebyme December project of the month! Congratulations! The entire home has slightly taller walls (an added 15 cm / 6 in) that give it an elegant feeling and keep the large rooms in proportion. The wall of plants gets plenty of natural light as does the rest of the house. Colors and materials are kept neutral so that the dashes of color and excellent use of contrast can really be appreciated. Let’s take a look around.

November project of the month winner!

The winner of the Homebyme November project of the month is Lessingstrasse, which was envisioned and created by Sven (svnstfns). Congratulations! It looks like a great place to have a celebration party. This dining room table is at the center of activity.  Even in this one image we can see how the warmth of wood is used to set the theme of the home. Rich, deeply colored kitchen cabinets and the giant main beam are great starting points for more rich reds. The eye is naturally drawn to the beautiful red vase so we can use it as an orientation point.

October project of the month winner!

Elegance is the first feeling that comes to mind as you visit My Home in Paris the October Homebyme project of the month winner created by vpo! This is a home with a touch of magic. The more you look, the more amazed you are at how rich a story is told with so few elements. Each space is clearly defined with just the right amount of furniture, subtle changes in materials and a restrained use of color. Textures and reflective surfaces fit the needs of each functional area.
