If you like to have BIG parties and entertain a lot of people, then you know it takes a lot of space and a varied mix of settings to make everyone comfortable. Great food and drinks are the next most important items! The heart of a home and a party is the kitchen and this monster home has plenty of room for preparing and enjoying meals, hors d’oeuvres or even midnight snacks. Let’s check it out!
In case you get lost as we move around, this view will help you find your way. The yellow arrow shows where we’ll start. If you click on any image in the post you’ll be taken to the project page where you can rotate the project in 3D and even have an Immersive Experience by going right into the project to walk around.
The plan view shows just how big this home is and gives the opportunity to mention the importance of bathrooms. Bathrooms are rarely given much notice, but if you’re going to be entertaining a lot of people, you’ll need plenty of bathrooms too. This home has three bathrooms in the party areas with two more in the private areas. A large pantry helps keep the kitchen humming and there are two coat rooms for the cooler parts of the year.
As you enter you’re immediately part of the party! The foyer is a big space with its own coat room and bathroom for greeting new guests and has enough open space for people to gather and converse. The living room and office are to the right and the dining room and kitchen are straight ahead. Giant glass sliding doors open the home up, provide great views and bring in plenty of light.
A slightly more formal living room has comfortable seating and a more soothing palette of colors and textures. The door on the right leads to the office. Colored posts scattered about provide small surfaces to temporarily park your drink when you want to show the latest photos or videos on your phone.
A roomy office and library is a quiet space to get things done or just to have a private conversation. In combination with the living room and the foyer, it adds up to a very nice office suite that feels comfortable and functional.
Leaving the office you have a great view that gives a sense of how extensive the home is.
On a beautiful day like this the outdoor patios will definitely be in demand. On a cooler evening the fireplace will be the center point for many cozy conversations.
For more formal dining on a smaller scale there is a dining room between the living room and the kitchen. Glass sliding doors on three sides helps the space feel big and bright.
The kitchen is huge and includes everything needed to prepare and enjoy the yummy bits. There are six seats along the island counter and another three places for eating with a great view of both screens in the TV room.
Having an island mounted stove and sink helps the hosts stay involved. Taller kitchen items are placed towards the far end to keep much of the area open and inviting. The doors lead to a coat room, two bathrooms, the pantry and the master suite.
Two TVs keep everyone up to date on what’s going on and who just made the big move! If you don’t get a seat there’s still plenty of standing room to catch all the highlights.
The “working” end of the kitchen is arranged to keep the cooking area efficient. The long counters also provide for lots of storage underneath to keep things organized.
Ahh! Now for some peace and quiet in the master suite. The short entry hall has two doors to help keep the party sounds at bay. A dressing area with a row of armoires also helps keep things quiet.
An added benefit for the master suite is the private patio with its own fireplace and a great view out over the landscape.
The huge bed is surrounded on three sides with sliding glass doors for when you want to see out and blinds for when you don’t. It’s elegant in a spare and simple manner.
The master bath provides the option of an invigorating shower or a relaxing whirlpool bath. The door in the back leads directly into the laundry for quick and easy cleanup.
It’s not quite as big as the master bedroom, but this bedroom also has its own patio and plenty of outside light to give it a bright, warm feeling.
Even the smallest bedroom is big enough to feel roomy and still have floor space for great sleepovers.
The final bathroom carries on the light and bright theme.
Whether you live here or are visiting for a party, you’ll find whatever you need to have a delightful experience!
Now it’s your turn!
